Fantasy Drawing Class: Create, Quest, Collaborate!

  • Victoria & Albert Museum Cromwell Rd England, SW7 2RL United Kingdom (map)

Welcome to Fantasy Drawing Class: Create, Quest, Collaborate!

Step into a drawing class where the emphasis is on curiosity, storytelling, and collaborative play.

Using simple materials (pencils, coloured pencils, sketchbooks and pens), we’ll explore a series of creative challenges that could include:

  • 🗝️ Deciphering gentle riddles that lead to unexpected sculptures

  • 🎲 Pulling mysterious prompts from a bowl to build your own fantasy world

  • 🌍 Inventing creatures, maps, or mythic objects as part of a shared drawing quest

  • ✏️ Using imaginative mark-making techniques—like writing to create texture or drawing from the inside out

  • 🤝 Working together to solve poetic puzzles and complete a collective creative mission

This is a non-academic class for adults who enjoy dreaming on paper. You don’t need any drawing experience—just an openness to explore, invent, and play alongside others.

Whether you find yourself sketching a guardian for a cast court or designing a landscape made of moods, you’ll leave with a pocketful of ideas and a few pages marked by wonder.

🧺 Need materials?A limited number of ready-made art packets are available for £5, which include:

  • A canvas tote bag

  • An A4 sketchbook

  • A pencil case filled with assorted pencils, an eraser, pencil sharpener, and blending sticks

Payment can be made via contactless card (preferred) or cash on the day.If you’d like an art packet, it’s very important that you contact Franceska in advance to request one, so she can prepare enough for the group.
